If your Minecraft is loading or running slowly maybe you need to allocate more RAM to it? The modpack we are running recommends at least 4 Gig of RAM. To do this in CurseForge you need to go to Settings > Minecraft > Allocated Memory.
There is a sliding scale that allows you to choose home much RAM you want to give to Minecraft while it is running. Don't give it all your RAM though... Windows still needs some to run properly!
